    Indigenous Health

The health status of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Maori people is poor in comparison to the rest of the population. The Foundation for Surgery is working to address this by increasing the number of indigenous surgeons in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand and improving understanding of culturally appropriate treatment through education and advocacy.

  • GlobalHealth

    Global Health

Five billion people worldwide do not have access to safe surgical care when needed. In the Indo-Pacific Region, with your help, the global health program addresses the immediate and long-term needs of disadvantaged communities. In Timor Leste for example, we have a bold vision – to eradicate preventable blindness in East Timor. This is a huge task, and we urgently need your help to ensure people in Timor Leste have access to safe surgery and a health system with skilled local specialists.
